Ok, what did you changed? Maybe i can look into it and find what is causing scenarios not longer to load....

So you changed it back to 50 civs? In a to 40 civs fixed scenario there was now 40 civs, that will meen if you have 40 civs 0-39 then you cant start new civs with the numbers 45 to 50 i think... these civs should start with 40 to 45 then... mabe theres the problem, no empty civs from 40 to 45 allowed i bet... so to fix one of these scenairos you have to add some civs from 40 to 45 to fill up the empty space... then you can start the other civs from 45 to 50...

Also there will be no civ 50 only 0-49 you can try to set babarians to 49 and the rest one lower, maybe that fix it. The 50 civ dll is only 0-49, so Babarians on 50 will not work.

Also add the empty teans to a scenario if that dont helps... they was removed...

If you have now team 44 to 49 then theses teams 40 to 44 missing in all scenarios now that was set back from 50 civs to 40 civs. So you have no civs between 39 and 44 or you have barbarians on civ 50 but last civ/team should be 49. Try add the missing civs to a scenario or change barbarians from 50 to 49 and lower the others one team down. But maybe no empty civs under the NPC civs allowed.

So barbarian is on 45 not on 49/50 as you told here problem or bug for you? And 3 times green man? Looks like a bug... looks like the mod saves it wrong... yep tryed to loading this new created scenario with the latest SVN, cant load it bug... so your MOD saves the NPC civs totaly wrong into new created scenario files...

Load the MOD then select PLAY NOW, then go to WB, then save the scenario... then look into the scenario with editor and look how it have been saved...

Ah Insectoids are on 45... hmm then the barbarian civ is missing completly?

Also i think there will be the problem for old scenarios to load because they miss:

Last but not least... the barbarian civ is missing and not saved in scenario file, maybe you have them on civ 50 but there are only civ 0-49 or you miss them now... cant also load any new created scenario.

6 NPC but only 5 NPC saved in new scenario file... <!-- 50 = BARBARIAN_PLAYER was 40 - Barbarians --> is missing or overwirting the insectoids. No NPC civ is saved on team=44 if you have 6 NPC, but there it should be saved.

There's a reason for this (I was thinking in code index # but the file expresses it in player #) but subtract one from each of the following to get the proper player and team number:

I have no idea why MP is saving these incorrectly. Slots 40-43 are also reserved for more NPCs to come potentially. So those cannot be players. You are still limited to 40 PCs.

There must be team 44 and team 45 and team 46 and team 47 and team 48 and team 49 if you have 6 NPCs, so the bug is on team 44, this one is not there correctly. Team 44 is empty...

You are right that it's not saving the barbarian team and that may be the underlying issue. I'm being told that WB isn't saving the barbarian team at all for whatever reason.

EDIT: Try updating and loading now. I found that both new and old scenarios were able to work after making a simple adjustment in a WB python file I was pointed to where I used the wrong variable for max players and teams.

If there are 50 teams - the last one is team 49. (WB uses 0-49 not 1-50).

Yep, theres no civ 50 only 0-49, Barbarians should be on 49. My Scenario still not loading. If you have the Barbarians on 50 it will be lost and it will not be saved.
 
Pit - it should now load with the latesr SVN 9346.

Yeah, I can't help to fix the savegame. I knew that would be broken irreparably. I'm glad the map works again though... whew... I was actually really worried about that bug because if I was a scenario or map designer I would be PISSED OFF if my efforts were dashed completely - and I wasn't sure I'd be able to fix it. But once the right file was pointed out, it was obvious what I did wrong there.
 
I am working on the new scenario/map version now, when is the best time to start a new long game without getting my savegame destroyed again? When V36 is finished and V37 gets released? Let me know the best time to start a new long game.
 
Yeah. That's kinda the point of a version release if it goes as planned. We will PROBABLY be maintaining savegame integrity for a while from here. We're trying to get v37 released within the next few days but if you're on the SVN we're already at the point that there won't be further save breakage before release anyhow.
 
So is it possible to play completely through a game now if we dont update anymore or better wait for v37 to start a long game?

There's always work to do so I don't know how to answer that. If you mean 'are we done entirely'? no. If you mean 'Have we completely fleshed out the later end of the game?' no. If you mean "Have you made sure there are no bugs in the mod?" I've gotta laugh a bit as that's probably never going to be the case. If you mean "If I'm updating now and then is it likely those updates will break any saves?" the answer is that it should be a while before that takes place.

We're having some folks get pretty deep into the game. The modern and later is lacking for game balance and you'll probably hit severe overflows around that point but the more people start reaching those eras and reporting the bugs, the more they'll get addressed.

Pepper was looking to update the core mod with a lot of his stuff for the later eras after v37's release so that could help.

Play to enjoy what you can bro. There's still a lot of plans yet to unfold for this mod.
 
I updated to SVN 9406 that is the current version of V37 or more downloads needed?
