But its always good to know: Dont change the options and scenario if you want to have a working long game and less memory leaks. Some civs need special strategys on start.

My latest understanding in language was "Fubar", i think it comes originally from "Furchtbar", but no one knows that so far, maybe.

I only more or less understand it to a degree when reading or listening, can't speak much, and absolutely can't write.
I wasn't trying to insult you, but I've seen people who are just as "inattentive" without having your excuse of a "different language", so how would I know until being told?

Back to civs.
I think I'm gonna check now what civs have a similar "cheat" to my "hacked Israel" - aka having TWO (I doubt there can be more) Natural Wonders accessible in ONE city.
Such a boost is extremely useful in Prehistory on any speed, so this does make a bit of a "difference" on which "officially added" civ to choose.
Or gives it "levels of difficulty", lol.

I don't have a "lol" problem - I enjoy it.

Yeah I already read the OP through and through, though I did decide to deviate on the settings somewhat just to be cheeky and see what happens. Like somebody said, was just asking for a general rundown on any particularly fun/interesting/exciting starts or notable things when playing. Just on a casual worldbuilder glance after generation (couldnt resist) seems obvious that europe would be a thunderdome while places like India have (seemingly) huge and safe pocket expansions. So yeah, stuff like the natural wonder note or any civs that are notably challenging/easy/weird

You could play Australia as a Duel Map, lol - it has precisely two civs.
Though I'm not joking that my preference is much more influenced by the NW bonuses that are quite significant at the start of the game (again, especially so on Eternity).

Have you considered basically swapping turkey with Assyria+Sumeria in central asia, so Assyria would be somewhere central/east anatolyia and Sumer somewhere in Iraq? Would make sense for me to have early middle east as a thunderdome with some of the biggest early game fights

Dunno, I'm too much liking my Israel, lol.
Both for personal AND in-game reasons.
Jerusalem is literally the cheatiest city that can be created on Pit's map, lol - that is, unless I actually edited it to make this possible.
I'm way too lazy to check it now, lol - that is, whether you can build a city that has access to BOTH Mount Sinai AND Dead Sea.
On the map that I'm currently using, this IS possible - so it gives me a city that is NATURALLY (lol) a huge "cheat".
Especially on Eternity.
That said, if it IS buildable on the actual map, then any neighboring Civ should have "building Jerusalem" as their primary goal to begin with.
It's THAT good as a "cheat".

I killed Egypt, but mostly because its pre-made city blocked a Suez (Mediterranean-to-Red-Sea-Channel) city from being built ever (including Forts, I think) - and I didn't want to lose THAT feature.
I could just move that initial city to work AS Suez to begin with, of course.
But I think I felt a bit overcrowded there as well, which isn't a bad thing in certain playthrough scenarios, though.
Then again, what civ would you suggest that I kill instead?
Most of them are scarce enough as is.
Note: This is partially why I'm so eager to create a playable modmod with 100 or even 200 civs - it'd be a much more "crowded" map, but also much more FUN one.

Quick question...is there any way we could please have a "clean" version of 5.1, without any civs on it? I like to play around and have maps with maybe only 8-12 civs to start, or ones with only civs in one continent to start.

Here you go, lol.
I had it down to ONE civ, so it took me like a minute to wipe it clean.
Not sure about 100% cleaning the "fog of war" issues, though, but those barely matter.
Still better if @Pit2015 does the really clean one himself, since I also edited some options for my own taste, so you should review those before starting a game.

You can edit it in WB and delete civs you dont want, problem is random games are not really random, meens random civs start always in the same location, so a scenario is better.

Unfortunately, I learned the hard way a long time ago the random thing doesn't work.
I just like to add a few in WB, and choose one to play.

Are you kidding me?
I literally started a new CLEAN random game on the very map I gave you, twice - once with full 40 random civs, once with just me solo (and barbs as future minor civs).
And both times I've started on a clearly RANDOM (and different) location that was never a "civ start" point.
Both were also on islands, which is a fun start - and I'm gonna play around with the "solo" run (which is now "repopulated" to 30+ civs in under 100 turns on Ultrafast, by the way, lol).
Though I do have to point out that Random only works when you DON'T have any civs in the scenario file itself.
If you do have any, even if they're "NONE" civs, they probably get assigned a starting point (or it is directly written in the file to begin with, duh), so you won't get a truly random start there.
But on the "CLEAN" map (which has zero civs defined), you'd have a truly random start any time you use it.
I just tested that, after all.

Did somebody try to play the map on c2c v42?
It seems that the map 5.1 or/and SVN Rescaled Latitude Limits do not work correctly with v42
When I try to load my saves, I see FATAL_ERROR (Memory allocation failure).
And yes, I applied the recommendations on the 1st page.
