Salte, regarding your rules for declaring war...does it really matter too much who declares war and makes the other civ get war happiness this early on in the game? (assuming we meet each other before we even are out of despotism, that is...)

I believe you get war happiness even in despotism, but I'm not sure.
Still, i don't see any drawback with doing it the way I suggested, but maybe I've missed something?

well, I guess I just don't see the reason FOR it...but as long as we have a set rule... I'll abide by them.

The reason for it is that the player that if player A declares war on player B then player B will get a happiness bonus in all his cities. And this "bonus" may last very long if these two players don't engage i a lot of combat with each other. So the point was to try and spread this bonus around as fairly as possible.

GPS Salte, we discover a volcano, our troops are told to be quiet, we dont want to wake it up....:)
