Does anybody else think the Inquisition is a little extreme? I mean, can an iron maiden ever be called a wonder? I support the idea of an inquisition as a wonder (maybe with some frowny face penalty for all your cities or something, and it produced one inquisitor a turn), but this is a tad overboard. Now I see what whoever made the "Why Reward Sadism" thread meant.

You're right. Nuclear warfare, sacrificing slaves and ruthlessly killing all other civs in the world is one thing, but I think we should start something with Amnesty International over this Inquisition iron maiden.

on this one, i to think the iron maiden and Inqusition are abit over board- after the killing, torture, and forced conversion of thousands throught the Christian world is not what I would call a goon thing in any sense of the word... and to make a wonder that gives BENIFITS in the memory of such in action is.... :( (an irony, as the comapnies involved seem to want to be so "PC" that they go and include somthing like this....)

We are getting a little off topic. Also, we can debate wether or not nuclear weapons have had a good impact on the world, or not for a while, but I think very few people think the inquisition helped anybody, except those paid to carry it out. Also, there is a world opinion thing that happens when you use nuclear warfare, and the point of this is not to kill innocent civilians, it is a sad side effect (like the unintended collateral damage in Operation Iraqi Freedom). There is no true, intenional torture, or forced religious conversion involved here. Yet, I think this concept could be included in the game, not as a wonder, and maybe with some hoirrible side effects, also, we do not need a symbol of toture in this, this is not Saddamist Iraq.

But, lets try to get back on topic, as I have now voiced too many political views, and not enough screenshots. More screenshots to come soon (once I can get some worthwhile ones)...

After much hard campaigning, Rome has thrown Carthage out of Africa. It took many years, but is finally done. Now, Roman Legions are numerous, and Legionary Armies, led by Caesar himself, are poised to rid the world of Carthage once and for all. The foothold on the Iberian peninsula is strong. Imperial Rome will not rest until every last vestige of Carthage is gone from the face of the earth.

Rome, allied with Persia, allows hoards of Persian cavalry through to conquer lands beyond her borders. However, does Persia have her eyes on Rome now that Macedonia has been subdued?
