C3C Screenshots Thread

Sorry...I lost the screenshot for it...but it was an amazing sight (visually) to see an enormous 3 person chariot unit suddenly disgorge from a teeny, tiny enemy Curragh. Those must be some well trained horses for them not to tip a (equivalent to ) canoe over!

Strange ! I thought curraghs could not carry troops !
Or is it in the scenario (special settings then) ?
But I can imagine the look of it by the size of both units

As requested. SoL next to Frigate, Man o' War, and Carrack.

Yes. In the standard game I think they are set to not carry troops. This was the first introductory scenario.

A strange sight indeed!

I did the ones today on my lunch break at home. I won't be home from work now until 6:30. Don't know when I'll be able to put up screenies.

By the way, What Cataphract? I didn't see a unit folder in any of the scenarios or main that could be considered a Cataphract. This unit is supposed to be in the game? I thought Byzantine got Dromon instead.

There is one in the Middle Ages scenario, I'm almost positive. Chieftess posted something about it, but it was a civilopedia entry with a Rider pic.

I regret to say that it's beginning to look like there is no unique art for the Cataphract.

as long as it is the anceitn cav animation, I'll be more then happy ;)

AFAIK, global warming is not caused by visible polution but by city (people + buildings) polution so in that case you have nothing to worry about.

Nevertheless a lot of volcanic eruptions together could probably cause a global warming in RL or an Ice age afterwards (clouds blocking the sunlight)..

But, there is still the matter of the civilopedia entry stating it attacks with both the lance AND the bow. Does the AC have a bow attack?

it has a sheild? could you please post a screen shot :)

@stones fan- mabey the AC had BOMBARD ability that is only in use for the medieval sceanrio, the other day certain people were hinting that it had some special thing in armies, but they could have just just been taunting me and my cataphract- ahrd to tell with that group of hooligans that hangs out in the chat room ;)

So they did use a Rider. Are we supposed to imagine it attacking with a lance and bow??

Tell me the Caterphract is not a Rider. A Chinese RIDER. For the love of God someone tell me this is just a vicious joke by Chieftess. Someone...!?

thanks cheiftess :)

yes folks, that is the cataphract- not accurate in any sense of the word for the Byzantines, but that it...

though again, i can even begin to thank Chieftess for this screeshot :)

Posting less feverishly about the cataphracts and byzantine would be a start. ;)

on the lighter side of things, it dose make an execllent Russian-Persian cav unit, and the ancient cavalry is ofcourse what SHOULD be there in place of this guy... as I dont think he is the rider is he?
