C3C Screenshots Thread

EDIT: Okay, it's in the Rise of Rome scenario... so I guess you should start that up in order to access the proper civilopedia entries.

Thanks a bunch!

Could you also include the "description" part? I'm basing my decision to get the game on Imperialism and the Napoleonic scenario, and I've already found a lot of information about the latter. All that is left is Imperialism.

Instead of another screen shot, here's the text cut from the civilopedia...

Imperialism is a governmental organization wherein a country extends its rule or authority over foreign
countries, or of acquiring and holding colonies and dependencies. Imperial governments have played a pivotal
role over the long course of human history. Some of the most notable Imperial governments were the Romans of
ancient times, the French under Napoleon, and the British Colonial Empire of the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries
(an empire so vast that the phrase “The Sun Never Set on the British Empire” was coined to reflect its size).

Thanks a bunch!

It's precisely what I'd hoped for. It's not in the main game, and it's a little overpowered... but it's the notion of an Imperial government that I like, not the stats.

For Aussie_Lurker, here's the Improvements and Wonders edit screen. To keep the file size under the limit, I had to, well, cut it in half. So, um, here's the left side...

Interesting Additions:
*Increased Army Value - NOT the Pentagon ability!
*Requires Elite Naval Units -
*Doubles Sacrifices - probably only used in a Conquest.
*Stealth Attack Barrier - for Sengoku (assassin protection)?

Thank you for that screenshot, Shirly :) :)!!! It pretty much confirms what I've read elsewhere and, overall is pretty darn fine-if you ask me!!
I'm still curious as to why they don't simply move the 3 remaining 'Great Wonder' flags into the general Small/Great Wonder box !!! Not doing that is gonna make it VERY difficult for me to do the mod I had planned-though Warpstorm has informed me of a possible loophole I can exploit in the whole Great/Small Wonder area! It's a terrible shame, though, that I even HAVE to resort to that!!
A couple of other things which would be good to see, in future versions of the editor ;), would be a 'Reduces Corruption in all City's flag' in the Small/Great Wonder section, and the ability to increase and/or decrease science, tax and luxury output generated by an improvement! For instance-instead of just a +50% science output, I'd like to be able to give an imporvement a +25% science output, or even a -50% science output! Essentially, I'd see this working in MUCH the same way as the Production/happiness/maintainance boxes at the top of the editor screen!
If there are any Firaxis/BA people reading this thread, may I ask how likely and/or easy my suggested changes would be to implement? Any answers would be VERY much appreciated :) :)!!

Yours,
Aussie_Lurker.

Exploring south in my first epic game (random civ| Mongols), I suddenly got a notification of a volcano erupting- this one without warning. Our continent is like volcano central. Did Atari program some "ring of fire" type deal without telling us?

Sailing the Med. in the Mesopotamia conquest (Phonecia) I discover that the world isn't round. My curragh is at the VERY edge of the map- I could only see half of it. (Skirting the northern coast of Africa there)

 Forgot to attach the file..

Xen, these units are exactly the same. Sorry, but I rememered Rider looked little different. It must have been that red color that deceived me.

(They are same, I looked with some picture program) :(

Do you mind sharing with the rest of us what this little loophole is?:groucho: :)

Hmm, maybe I am missing something but the Espionage screen looks the same as the one from PTW.

Inhalaattori- I petitioned, and it will be fixed in the next patch, whenever that comes out- they will remake the file paths so that ancient cavalry is what represents the cataphracts :goodjob:

new screenshots can be found at civ3.com.

The WWII Pacific scenario flags, the FLAK pedia, pictures of WWII Pacific (light tanks in action in the Philippines, science screen (world at war era), Hawai and the north China Sea).

Cyber- that might be. I don't have PTW and have never read anything about it thus far..my apologies if this was a feature included in PTW.
