I tried the save and it works proper. Have you made the manuelly changes mentioned in the first post?

You are absolutely correct. I'd forgotten all about this. That's how long it's been since I've had anything to do with the first version.
Go here for the Pendragon fix.

Oh, yeah i forgot those ^^

I "fixed" them, but there's still the same problem.

Although i don't know what to do with the pendragon.pcx file. I'm supposed to move it to civ3complete/conquests/scenarios/Camelot!/art/civilopedia/icons/Buildings , rite?
But there is no file pendragon.pcx there, except the Pendragonlarge.pcx and Pendragonsmall.pcx files.
I tied to leave it there as it is, and then i tried again by renaming it to pendragonlarge.pcx (of course i backed up the original pendragonlarge file), and none of it worked. So what is the issue here?

Oh yeah, i even replaced the music with the original, but that wasn't the issue, apparently.

EDIT: Im sorry, i found out where to place it, it's the icon for the wonder splash :P
EDIT2: It worked hehe, sorry for the fuss ^^

Ok so, i continued the game a little bit. The thing is, every time I build an embassy at a friendly capitol, i get this lousy message:

File not found "art\civilopedia\icons\races\EoganachtSMALL.pcx" the game will now exit. (the e with the tone over it)

The file is in there though.
Maybe it's the tone a problem? I even replaced it with an other, working pcx file, and got the same problem message. I do think it's the tone over the E that causes the problem..

Perhaps the file is corrupt.
The space within the extension isn't really there, isn't it?

Again it works on my system. Here is the races-foulder.

thanks-a-lot! :D

The space wasn't intentional, of course..

so, i replaced that folder with mine, and i noticed you don't have got an Eoganacht race, only a Poganacht. I think there's a false refernce in some ini file, that's why i get these error messages.

In civilopedia.txt and PediaIcons.txt (both under camelot/text/) it's called Ioganacht...
In all the other references under camelot/Art/ , they are called EO, and the pcx's are called Eoganacht.
In your race folder you sent me, they are called Poganacht...

Im confused :S Shouldn't there be an universal name? I suspect a false reference name.
Anyway, i don't know where the reference source is that causes the error, so maybe somebody with some mod making experience -or even better the mod maker himself- will have got a solution about this

Then you must have a prob with your system cause at my system it is shown as Éoganacht.

Geomatrix:
Are you playing by translating the CAMELOT! files into German?
Are you playing on a Mac?
Either of these could cause issues.
What you're seeing, with the name changes, is characteristic of the aforementioned issues.
Otherwise, you've got a corrupted system somehow.
If it neither of the two things above, translation or Mac, then the last suggestion is to reload all the CAMELOT! files. If that still doesn't work, then you'll need to download again. And if you do dl again, you need to let it dl without doing anything else on the computer, otherwise you can get a corrupted or incomplete download.

Well, I assume my problem is my Greek windows Vista which works on English. That causes the problem with the E with a tone over it.
I didn't encounter any problems till now with that system or with any other Mod, but this E causes an error message. :(

Well, i don't see any solution except renaming my references to something without an E with a tone, and then renaming the pcx files. But still i don't know where exactly the references are coming from (i suspect the .biq file, right?).

I found this entry in camelot/text/pediaicons.txt

#ICON_RACE_ΙOGANACHT
art\civilopedia\icons\races\EoganachtLARGE.pcx
art\civilopedia\icons\races\EoganachtSMALL.pcx

and changed it to Poganacht, renamed my files to PoganachtSMALL.pcx and PoganachtLARGE.pcx and it works!

:goodjob:

Issue resolved

Well, good!
Now forget about winning election with the Pendragon.
Go find the Holy Grail. After all, that's what the game is all about.
Be Arthur, send your knights out on a quest, scour the land in search of the relic!

Hint:
Spoiler :
The Eoganacht are an integral part of finding the Grail.

the eoganacht built the holy chalice wonder. There's no civpedia entry about that though..

...and scouting with the templar knights around is quite annoying, considering i have to search through whole britain, ireland and Normandy  Maybe you should give that hint earlier :p

Well of course there isn't! That would spoil all the fun!

Ah, but I did. It's in the very first post that explains the goals of the scenario.
"The Reverse Capture the Flag victory is really how the game was designed to be played. The flag unit is the Holy Grail. The object is to find the Grail and return it to your capital city. Doing so will award 10,000 victory points which is all that is needed to win. The Grail is the only way to gain victory points. The only units that are able to “see” the Grail (it’s invisible), are the Great Knights. Great Knights can only be built by the Round Table Small Wonder. Every civ can build this wonder, so the game is really a race to progress through the tech tree, build the Round Table and send out your Great Knights to find the Grail."

so, i was playing and some wonder have no splash, this makes the game crash and i cannot make it =P
i think that if beowlf statue, i really dont know, i know that is a helmet

Cross post.
Sorry.

hurray!! :goodjob:

I surely took my time with it, but a look at the minimap will answer your question about what i was doing 18 hours with camelot

Huzzah, huzzah!!
Congratulations.
Well done.
Bravo.

There be a lot of blue on that map.
So did you have fun?
Did you like it?
Ready for version 2?

well yeah it was very entertaining.
I conquered almost the whole UK except the scotties in Ireland, plus almost whole Normandy, except 9-10 remaining cities I was too bored to conquer after so much fighting.

So, some comments:
1) what's about the aqueducts? I didn't see any necessity about them, all my towns grew up to 30 pop, with or without an aqueduct.

2) Economy. Why are there so many commerce and science producing buildings? With full research and a relatively small empire (at the start) i made a plus of +700 every turn. At the end of the game i made a plus of 3000/turn and i had about 100.000 gold that i couldn't use practically. That destroys the tech race, because (almost) everybody researches any tech in 4 turns. Also, this makes the wall street wonder useless (what's 50 gold per turn if you gain 2000 and can't use them?)

3) The map's too big. I would prefer a scaling to 70-80% of the original size. At the end i had more than 200 cities and it gets quite annoying to manage them all especially if there are so many civil disorders and i get so many popups (even with deactivated build screens and popups i had to wait 5 minutes per turn to start moving my units at the end of the game)

4) Corruption is almost eliminated. That's not that bad, because the only one with a huge empire would be you, but i think some improvements like temple, curia and church shouldn't decrease corruption. (since when do priests reduce corruption in a city? And luxury improvements shouldn't increase corruption because they are an additional reason to get rich aka steal something)

5) I found two holy grails (and i didn't even search the whole eogagnacht country) and they were both being carried(?) by some spearmen. I didn't even notice any specific story turn, it was just a regular fight somewhere inside the eogagnacht territory. Is this intentional?

6) The pikemen come too early and then there is no upgrade for them to match the upcoming knights, -which have the same defense but 3 movement and way more attack- so they become useless. There should be another upgrade for them at the last tech age. (to 3.6.1 for example)

Well i do have some more comments, i can't remember anything else though

well, even with these the game was much fun, in fact it was the only mod i played through till now

can't wait for ver 2 :goodjob:

Almost all your comments are addressed in the update.
1. No aqueducts. Almost all cities won't grow beyond 12, many will stay at 6.
2. Buildings have be reduced. Instead I've added way more culture & era specific buildings.
3. Will probably keep the map. Not sure what level you're playing on, but higher levels keep the fight more fair; you don't aquire nearly so much land.
4. There will be more corruption because of fewer buildings.
5. This is symptomatic of how I was forced to construct the game due to Firaxis limited imaginiation.
6. By the time you're producing Great Knights, the game is really more about finding the Grail rather than divide & conquer. I'll look at this, but will probably leave it alone.

Glad you liked it. Update will be out after Christmas.
