An interesting way I am currently investigating to visualize my data is to plot it in 3D, using the RGL library. They have screen shots on that page, but strangely I can find no-one with live actual examples, so I attach one. If you have a modern browser, and download and extract the attached rar file, you get an interactive visualization like the attached image (of coincidentally my data).
I believe this is a scene graph based thing, and people manipulate scene graphs with visual editors. Does anyone know of good free ones, or even pay for if they are much better. Or just have an idea of if what I want to do is feasible. I would like to do things like change the circles into shapes of my choosing, and create a fly through.
I have to also ask, I was trying to upload this file to free hosting rather than providing a download for a web page (which I apologize for), and they are all terrible, geocities 10 years ago was better. Can anyone recommend anywhere?
