Can Cruise Missiles be given stealth attack or precision bombing?

I am trying to make cruise missiles more useful and it occurs to me that giving them "stealth attack" might be a way to do so. I have read around here that stealth attack does not work for stealth aircraft because it does not work during bombardment. Is this true? Does this mean that it can't be made to work with cruise missiles?

I am also wondering if the cruise missiles can be given "precision bombing". I notice that that is an air unit ability and cruise missiles are tagged as land units. Would precision bombing work even though cruise missiles are land units?

Alternatively, could I tag cruise missiles as air units and give them the precision bombing ability? Would this work? Would this also allow interceptors to shoot down attacking cruise missiles?

No, it does not work correctly - they can Stealth Attack, but then they are not acting as Cruise Missile, they don't get destroyed...

This came up during testing RaR, but we hoped nobody would notice it in-game...but of course, it is already reported.

Yeah, I tried it. Precision bombing works but they don't get destroyed after attacking. Stealth attack doesn't seem to work for any unit that is bombarding. However, I think flagging them for "collateral damage" will do the trick for me.

I kind of like them the way they are, they always kill military units in a city first which is generally what I am trying to do anyway to take over a city, I wouldn't want to have to rebuild harbors and aiports and such.

Whats collateral damage?
I was editing a scenario and came across that. Is that the fallout after a nuke detonates?

It's explained completely in the editor help.
Collateral Damage is explained INCORRECTLY in the editor help.
Collateral Damage applies to NON-bombardment only, not to artillery or bombers. Attack a city with your Guerillas or TOW Infantry; there will be a chance of an improvement being destroyed.

CD is one of my biggest gripes in C3C. They should have allowed it for all uniit types, not just non-bombard units.

Cruise Missiles as implemented in the game (incorrectly, IMHO) are one-shot land-based bombard units. In my mod, I made them naval-based tactical missiles that are carried only by Aegis and subs (both varieties). (Yes, it real life they were carried by battleships and air launched also - for gameplay reasons I didn't want this). I left the stock cruise missile as the "Buzz-Bomb" which it seems more like.

The AI doesn't really understand what I was doing with them (they will use them, but only after nuking has happened, in my experience)
