Hello everybody,

I have just discovered this game, and litterally fell in love :D
Yeah, it's more than 10 years after it got released !

I would like to know if it's possible to specialise my cities (I know it is by building market, etc... in financial cities ; mines for productive cities etc...) AND also change the rate I spend my gold for each city.

Let me give you an example : I want my financial city for instance, specialised into researches, to spend 100% into the research so then I get the bonuses from library, observatory... added to the outcome.

But on the other hand, I would like my second financial city to be specialised only in making money, so I would need to build in only market etc... Therefore, the rate shouldn't be of 100% research orientated but wealth...

I can't find how I could change the general rate to specific cities... Example : 50% wealth and 50% research for my capital. Then 20% wealth and 80% research for another city and so on...
Is it even possible ?

If not, it means that I don't need so much to build the buildings that provide wealth bonuses in all my financial cities, since I go for research most of the time. Am I right ?

Thanks for your help and tips :)

Welcome!

Answer is no, you can only move the "global" commerce sliders, which affect all your cities equally.

And yup, in most normal games buildings that add wealth multipliers (market, grocer, bank) aren't worth it until the very late game, if at all.

Oh and you've just discovered the best game ever ;)

Alright ! Thanks :)

I come from Total War series and I must say that it's different, but so cool to go through the ages ! :D
