Can not take screenshot

Hi! I'd like to ask something, I hope one of you guys can provide answer/solution. I play CivIV in an old laptop, and everything was fine with 3.17. When I patched to 3.19, I can play the game but can not take screenshot anymore. Everytime I press print screen, I only got a 100% black jpg file. Is this because my laptop is judged too old by 3.19?

Windows saves printscreen output to its clipboard even inside fullscreen-mode games, so you can fall back to the operating system if civ4 can't make jpegs. So just to make sure, have you already tried hitting printscreen in civ and ctrl-V in Paint?

Usually I print screen-ed and the jpg file showed in a specific folder (just like a save game). But now, the file is total-black.

Yes, but I was wondering if you tried hitting printscreen and instead of looking for civ's output file, instead open MSPaint and do a PASTE. If this doesn't work, then the problem might not even be with Civ 3.19, so it must be verified.

I tried print-screen during the game and then quit, paste it to paint and IT WORKED!

I don't know what is wrong with my laptop [or 3.19], but at the very least, I can make a screenshot now. But still, if anyone able to provide me with solution, I'd be grateful.

Instead of quitting the game entirely, open up MS Paint before you start the game, and then use Alt+Tab to get out of Civ4 to paste and save.
