I think it would be better (if we really must have this kind of nonsense) to have the forms eliminate the spurious geographical cliches and instead have check boxes for various genealogical features, such as nose shape, hair colour etc. Imagine ...

The whole "white, blue-eyed, blonde-haired Aryan" myth is a psuedo-scientific invention of the 19th century. There's no reason for any halfway educated person to even acknowledge it.

Nope, not at all. Generally, I have no patience for this race silliness that humans try to divide humanity into. "French", "Italian", Irish", "Japanese", it means nothing and I have no respect for that crap.

However, the descendents of Israel and his children are special as God picked them to be his chosen people. It in no way means I think Jews are supreme or anything and I don't really think they should be treated as our superiors because of this. It's just an acknowledgement that in God's eyes they are his chosen people.

As far as the census goes I think they should go with the brazilian method -
Check box (lets say white-caucasian or a term you make up)

At the bottom it says "terms only socially important - of little scientific value
