Can u revert to 1.51? I'd like to.

My cpu runs 1.61 MUCH slower than 1.51. I've dropped to absolute minimum graphics (used to be at medium with no problems) and it's still at a crawl. I don't know what happened but it's killt my game.

I don't think it's possible to uninstall a patch. I guess you'll have to uninstall the game, reinstall it, and then patch to 1.52.

I believe I may just have to revert to 1.52 myself. Listen to this:

With v. 1.52, I had a 64 MB Intel video card and played on medium graphics fine, I never found myself waiting after pressing enter. (Sure, I had late-game slowdown like everyone else, but still)

Now, after getting a new 256 MB card at the same time I updated to 1.61 I get the 'Waiting for other civilizations.." message for about 30 seconds each time I end the turn. Even in the very beginning, on a small map. I am playing on low graphics too.

Something is seriously wrong.

Wow! Good old Intel cards I guess Well, try that 1.52 patch if that helps. I assume you installed some good drivers for the graphics card you bought.

If you run setup fron the game dic, you have an option to uninstall. If you select that, it brings up a dialogue asking which components to uninstall. You can select to just ununstall patches, so this at least saves yoiu having to do a gigabyte reinstall of everything.
