:( I am now busy with Middle Age/Conquest, playing Germany...

Everything works out well, but yesterday I had in "one session" 5 times Cities who were confronted with the "Black Death"(Plague)!!
At first I did nothing at all...
Later on I brought all the military units to an another city.(Abandon city)
Then I started a new city with a Settler..

After this experience I thought: There should be a way to eliminate the "Black Death" or is there a "Cure" to avoid the "Black Death"(Plague)?

Can somebody help me or give me any suggestions?

Many thanks when you can help me!! :mischief: :) :)

I built workers once, can't remember if that made it go away though. I also moved my defenders out of the affected cities.

It is quite annoying

Plague is a semi-random event that goes away after a while. The AI suffers it just as badly as the human and it goes away after the preset # of turns as set in the editor. The 'trade level' of the city affects the chances of a city getting it. Some have interpreted that to mean you should disconnect all cities from trade routes but i don't recommend it. All you can do is move most of your units out of the cities so they don't get killed and wait it out. King and flag units don't die from it.

Relics do die though :(

It died the one I had conquer from the French.

Dear CIV- friends,

Many thanks for all your suggestions, tips and suggestions!! :D :D

In my "session" yesterday evening I noticed that the plague was gone after some turns... :king:

And the nicest experience was that I have won the Conquest!
Although it took 6 hours and 57 minutes...

I wish everybody a nice gaming time with Civ3!

Now I'll take a sigarette :smoke:

Meh, the plague only made me over react. I sort of destroyed the city with the Plague beyond recongnition, and then killed all the units in the city and sent the ships there to the middle of the ocean and disbanded them. The next time I ignored it and all it did was kill 1 citizen.

Do you also mean armies by flag units? In recently played this conquest and I lost an army to the plague.

This wasn't to bad as I had just managed to get enough victory points to win, so after the AI turns (in between turns) it said "You are victorious"

Flag units are the relics in the middle ages conquest but as Dux_ pointed out, they do die even though they should be immune. It's 'flag' as in 'capture the flag' or 'reverse capture the flag'.

TheTrooper,

I thank you for the "Edit" tip! I didn't know it!
My homelanguage is Dutch, so sometimes I don't understand the options right away!
