Can You Output To Two Monitors With Different Resolutions?

For hotseat games I'd like to be able to have 'duplicate' displays on two monitors with different native resolutions, is this possible?

I'm thinking it probably isn't and it's more likely I'd have to set it to a common resolution they can both display.

I'd be grateful if anyone could confirm or deny before I spend hours of messing around.
