Thank you for the effort but what I meant was where in the CIV folder should I place the downloaded files?
Anyway, I'll try a few ways and see how it goes... I'm really eager to play this.

Thanks for the clarification. In the main Civ3 folder there is a subfolder for C3C. It should be called "Conquests." Inside that folder there is a subfolder called "Scenarios." The .biq file goes into the Scenarios subfolder. The Canadian History Mod folder also goes into the Scenarios subfolder. The contents of the Canadian History Mod folder should be ordered correctly so that no additional work is required. You can install the special splash screen and maple leaf buttons if you are interested, but these are not required to play the mod. Once you have installed the .biq and the mod folder under Scenarios, power up your C3C disk, choose the "Civ Content" option, and you should see CanHist.biq listed as an option. I may not have the correct name of the .biq - I am on the road in Ontario, away from my usual office, and no access to the game files for a few days. In any case, you should see the .biq that goes with the Canadian History mod. Click on it, and you will begin your new life as Pierre Elliott Trudeau!

Works like a charm.
I played a few turns just to have a look around and it looks promising. I'll try and give more feedback once I've played a real game. Nice work.

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with the mod. Unfortunately, the mod was written only for Civilization III Conquests. I don't think the earlier PTW edition will allow you to play the mod, tho I am no expert on compatibility issues. We will probably not write anything for PTW. We will be improving the C3C CanHist mod, and then gearing up for Civ4 in a few months.
C3C is not terribly expensive these days. You might purchase a copy and give it a try. It is more versatile than PTW, IMHO.

I'v experienced some game crushes with Canot de Maître. My civ just refuses to find files with î . I found a solution for that simply in renaming the Canot de Maître unit directory and pedia icons files with character that was expected by the game. So now it's ok. But I'm still not sure about other files. I think, it would be good to use only international characters in file names.
BTW, didn't you think about adding NHL as a Wonder?-)

Thank you for telling me about the problem with the "î" in Canot de Maître. Honestly, I did not think about this as a potential problem. I will include a correction in later versions of the mod. This is quite easy to fix, and I am glad you found a way to fix the problem. If anyone else out there is having trouble, please let me know.
As for the NHL as a Wonder, I like it! Actually, I am thinking along the lines of some kind of major sports-related wonder that might include hockey, lacrosse, basketball, curling, etc. - sports either originating or more fully developed north of the 49th.

Aww, only for conquest? Is ther any way to get it for vanilla, because the graphics are the same, what else would need to be changed?

One of my favorite mods. One problem so far. The Canada Civ is destroyed after trying to settle. Seems there is no leader. This does not seem to happen to any of the other civs.
