The year is 2024. Canadian political parties has collapsed. The last elections were a complete mess rife with sabotage, cheating, recounts, bribes and even a murder. The end result was highly contested. The Prime Minister of the last 4 years accomplished nothing except to expose that the other major Canadian parties have been working as one for many decades and only showing a two sided face to the nation to keep up the appearance of democracy. The public has turned away from the major parties and now looks to the smaller parties for a new hope for Canada. For the first time in centuries the voter turnout is expected to reach over 95%. This makes most old truths about which province is conservative or liberal or pro life or pro choice or any other old definition pretty much mute, with so many new voters it is almost impossible to know how which province will lean.
You have a home province.
You have a core political following in your home province from which build your candidacy.
And you have your most important asset: Your Time.
Every turn, you can spend your time doing two things: Raising money for your campaign or Getting the people to Vote for you.
And you can also spend any amount of your saved up money on TV adds, Newspaper spreads/stories or any other way you can come up with to get the people of a province to vote for you.
Every province has a pool of undecided voters that you need to convince to vote for you. And then there are ones that have already made up their mind who you can try to win over.
Money:
For each province that you win in you will receive $1000 dollars. This may not seem very much on its own however if you were to get 10 provinces, well you now the math.
fundraising
for every hour you spend fundraising you get $1000 however you can only fundraiser in your own provinces. This is done so a smaller party can have as much money as a bigger party.

local T.V. station $300
National News paper $10,000(national benefit across Canada)
National News Station $15,000
Visiting a province that you already control doesn't give you much, but visiting one you don't have any following in will give you a good boost there.
Spending money in a province you do not have any followers in will get you nothing. spending money in a province you have a good presence in will give you biggest value for you money
Making and keeping promises
You can suggest legislature to the pubic ( make a story) it will give you a bonus in the province(s) that it effects. This is a way to get people active during non-election times. On the bill another party may challenge it and we can go to a vote. In a vote you will vote in support or not in support the bill.Your influence is determined by how many Provence's you control.
In a day were there may be more then one bill on voting on at the same time you say what bill it is and vote support or vote the bill down. It will be clear if the bill will pass or not in the final vote however i will display the results anyways.
Acting as the Government
If you are the government this means that you have more provinces then any other player. When you are the government you have the most power over any other party. the government must take action on any promise that they make that is if you want to go into the next election with a +.
As government you will Firstly need to pass a budget. the budget must be under 25 million dollars. The budget can go to anything that you want, expert to your party.
official opposition
if you are the official opposition then this means that you have the #2 most seats in the Parliament.
minority
This means there is more opposition then government. It is best if you work with the other party's in order to get you full budget/bills through.
majority
You have more provinces then the other players. You can pass almost any bill you want. (don't give yourself absolute power) after a bit the government will go into an election.
