I am waiting for some orders mostly from captian2 and the newly welcomed j ep and his sex party. I would like everyone to now I am still recruiting and trying to get more people, but we have enough for a fun game as it is. As soon as I get the last two orders I will put up the first update!

well the update is done. It didn't turn out to bad and it is pretty easy to see the breakdown of everything. All stats and the map are on the first page.
Sex Party
The Sex Party has support right across Canada. Not only do they have a good base in the west but they are an increasing problem for the Bright Canadian Future (BCF). They are seen as the more liberal party in Canada and thus so they have a little base of support in almost every province.
Bright Canadian Future (BCF)
The Bright Canadian Future has a strong base in the east however is lacking in the west. There biggest threat is the Sex Party, and would like to break Le Quebec Premier Parti hold on central east. More and more support is going to the Bright Canadian future in the east and will become a good strong hold for them one day.
COTAFUSA (Canadians On Total Alert For United States Aggression)
The strongest out of all the party's. They currently hold the government, but a week one of that. There support base is in the west however they don't travel east for they aren't always welcomed. Much like the Bright Canadian Future they too are having problems with the Sex party. They fear seeing the Bright Canadian future having a province in the west for this could be a sign of them moving west.

This party is a minor party. they are focused on there one territory however they do try to get into others. There main goal is to work with other party's in there hopes to have pot legalized. There hopes unfortunately will have to wait for the COTAFUSA is in power and there right-wing views don't match there's.
Le Québec Premier Parti
The party is a small party only focused in taking Quebec and holding onto it. They are the biggest threat to the Bright Canadian future for most of there power comes from there. Le Quebec Premier Parti sees the BCF as a threat to there hops of a free Quebec. There are rumors of Le Quebec Premier Parti planing on bombing the BCF party HQ with home made bombs.

There are no "points" in the above stats. I gained $5k in Engsoc for one hour of fundraising despite gaining a freaking 75% there. Will you please try to make your rules relate to the update?
Your right it makes no sense. when i first started i was planing on working on one system but i ended up working with another...if that makes sense. My apology's and i will undo my mistake by adding reforms to the fundraising and the advertising. Be sure that you did benefit from doing advertising in this update. I will be reworking it form the point system to a "winnings" system. For each province that you win in you will receive $1000 amount of dollars. I will also put on how much each advertising cost. Be sure to check the update for when i make these changes i will be giving everyone money for there winnings.

Yes, you're amount of money is already stated on your party stats on the first page.

Note that if you suggest legislature to the pubic ( make a story) it will give you a bonus in the province(s) that it effects. This is a way to get people active during non-election times. On the bill another party may challenge it and we can go to a vote. In a vote you will vote in support or not in support the bill.Your influence is determined by how many Provence's you control. This was suggested by captain2 and the Le Québec Premier Parti.

The sex party STRONGLY advocates extra money to be allocated towards education, both sexual and non as well as health care. That should be enough to get us to support the budget (If we oppose, large chance it all falls down).

you have GOT to fix the rules. I dont want to sound mean or anything, but you took my rules posted them and started the game (which is fine), but then decided not to use them as they were (which would have been fine if you hadnt started the game already). Now you have a game going where noone realy knows what the rules are. you have to clean it up quick.

well, having never done a government's budget before, this is a first for me.
so i tried to find a simple breakdown of how canada spent its tax money in 2004 to get a starting point to work from...
i think i understand this sort of correctly:
14% elderly benefits
7% Employment insurance (i assume this is a fund to help people who've just lost their jobs "unemployment benefits" for canada's southern neighbors)
14% Health and other soicial programs
2% agriculture
2% foreign affairs and trade
1% Skill development
3% Indian Affairs
4% Technology
7% Defence
17% National Debt
which totals something like 71%, the rest is listed as "other" with no defenitions of what that could be, but i assume its stuff like paying the rent on wherever the parliament meets and their offices and other stuff like that that noone wants listed.
what's odd about this is that i guess "education" is realy NOT in the domain of the Federal Gov, and so "spending on education" is not something we can realy do.
having read a couple of the "proposals" for different budgets over the last few years, well, maybe not read, but skimmed. It seems the way to "give more money" to anything, is not realy by taking it away from other things, but by just giving it more of the growth in the annual budget.

The COTAFUSA Budget proposal:
With the projected GNP growth the government estimates a 4% growth in revenue this year. As the last election has shown, the people of Canada wish to protect themselves from any possible threat. We can no longer rely on our southern neighbors to share our military concerns. We therefor propose that 75% of government revenue recieved ABOVE last year's be given to the military. The other 25% of the excess will be used to ofset the increase of the cost of the other programs of the government.
This will provide a slight increase in funding to all government programs, and a large increase in funding to the military. We expect the end result to be that military spending will go up to 10% of government expenditures (from 7% last year).

yeah education is provincial, however since we have really no provinces in this it would make sense to allow education if you want

Conflict, no, but the rules for fundraising are still missing.
I'll assume that fundraising exists, since three sections of the rules still mention it, and send orders now, just to get the NES running.
Oh, and I think the budget should allocate more funds to federal research, technology, skill development. I sort of have to disagree with the military thing since it's Roddy's strange issue, and for reductions, I suggest health care and elderly pensions by making it a match scheme to private values.
