In the Espionage screen, although I have 75 EPs accumulated for a civ, and one visible city listed, I cannot execute passive missions costing 50 (see demographics)... What am I missing here? I have Writing.
Thanks

You don't execute them, that screen just lets you track when you qualify for the passive benefit. You can actually view that benefit elsewhere. To see what Tech other civs are researching, check the Score panel. Go find their cities on your map, once you can observe their cities.

I see... Thanks.
But where do I see demographics for my rival?

On the demographics screen. :D
F9 ... if you don't have enough EP, you could have met them and not see any of their rankings (other than score in the score panel).

Right, the Military Power/GNP/Crop Yield graphs is what that's referring to.

In the Demographics screen I see Rival best, average, etc, rank. I don't see a option to see my rival specific data. Does it mean that his data its just included on the these generic statistics?

btw writing is not needed, neighter for the demographics nor for the tech they're researching nor for city visibility, nor is another tech - espionage is a thing, every civ knows since its beginning :D

Actually, confusingly, I think the screen specifically labeled Demographics might always show all its info regardless of espionage (but never tell you specifically which Civs the "Rival Best" and "Rival Worst" are). It might even include civs you haven't discovered yet.

The Graphs screen, however, will only show Civs for which you have that passive espionage benefit of seeing their demographics. It's possible that the Top 5 Cities/World Wonders screen yields more specific data with proper espionage too, not sure to be honest.

Essentially it seems like the first passive espionage benefit of seeing demographics doesn't actually give you anything too special, it just re-enables what you could previously see by default before the BTS expansion.

umm... yeah I meant the Graphs. You always see the values of rival best/worst, but you never see who is this (actually you know who is it if you know every civ and see everyones demos. Top5 Cities/wonders never yielded anything other to me than showing the 5 cities (or not, depends on whether i found that city yet) and showing which civ (if known) built which wonder and when.

Yep, everyone else is right. You don't need to "execute" passive missions.. That's why they're called passive! ;)

"Demographics" in this case also includes the graphs. If you can view a rival's demographics, then you can see where they lie on the power graph, culture graph, economy graph, food production, etc., relative to your own empire. Which can be useful...especially the power graph.
