Cannot start Dx 10/11 version and graphical issues in Dx 9 mode

No, sorry, i meant microsofts patches, because one user reported that it worked after he updated his windows vista installation.

Ok, i'll run the updater again and see if it finds anything new.

I'm no longer getting the text prompt asking me if to pick recommended DX9 or the unselectable DX10 & DX11 but it just jumps straight into loading the game via DX9. --top of the window says Sid Meier's Civilization V (DX9) -- I am playing on windowed mode.

Even though my system has DX10.

just got 1.0.2 , pop up window asking me to choose between 9 or 10&11 is back, but it is still not letting me play on DX10
