Cant Chat in multiplayer trade window

Fo some reason in the trade window I can type my message but cant send it, pressing enter does nothing. Anyone got a fix for this?

I´ve a similar problem: I can´t trade technologies nor resources with the hotseat player even though I´ve the alphabet and so on. Does anybody know why can it be? (I´ve the european version of the game, installed in spanish)
