Can't declare war when teamed up multiplayer ?

Title says it all. Me and my team are teamed up, but we cannot declare war on the computer. We just do not have the option. Any ideas?

We are not allied...anything else you can think of...is there like a tech requirement or something ?

Maybe one of these: "You are no longer allowed to declare war on declared friends (or in an enforced peace period) from the "troops near me" warning."
I played hotseat today and the teams declared wars without problems

Figured it out. When you are on teams it messes with the friendship mechanics. Let's say you are on team A and someone from your team declares a friendship with someone on team B. Suddenly everyone on team A cannot declare war on anyone in team B until the friendship lapses. and vice versa.

Kind of. If you click on your team member, it shows that they are friends with the other player on team B. But it does not show you as being friends with that person on team B when looking at your diplo relations.
