Can't get religion?

I'm playing as the French and I was the first to research Judiesm. I'm now at like 1500ad and I have no religion in any of my cities. I never got a holy city (Thought I got a prophet) and I never get approached re: any religion. To add to the weirdness, half the civs are Jewish...

Any ideas?

Go to the f7 screen and see where the holy city is. Whilst you're there, revolt to judaism. If that doesn't sort it, post a save here.

The holy city is unknown and I'm unable to convert to any religion!

Included is my save - I think it's just one of those weird little bugs that are hard to pin point.

Have you met all the civs? If it says unknown I'd guess that you were mistaken about getting Monotheism first, and it's an unknown civ that has it. Check the event log it will tell you if you got a holy city.

The holy city is unknown because "Judaism was founded in a far away land".

I loaded your save-game and went straight to the event log (looks like a diary in the top left corner). Go all the way back to 2000 BC in the event log and you will see that Judaism was founded somewhere else.
