Can't install WW 2 Scenario

Hi all! Can anybody help me install the r_e_d__wwii_edition__v_16? I downloaded both files (r_e_d__wwii_edition__v_16.civ5mod + R.E.D. WWII Data Files (v 3).civ5mod) and put them into the mods folder. But what now? I can't find it in the game an whenever I click 'Install mods' the game crashes.
Any ideas?

Without downloading them myself, the obvious error in your description of what you have done is to install the .Civ5Mod file. The Mac version - for whatever reason - is unable to read these files. You have to expand this file using EZ7Z or equivalent. That creates a folder that you place in your MODS folder.
