Cant order settlers to "go to" ....

I noticed that all my units would accept the goto command, both G and right-clicking, but my settlers wouldnt. Took me 1-2 hours to figure out that if you go to global view, and use the line tool, if you dont de-select "make line", then when you zoom in to move a settler, you cant, you can only use the numpad to manually move them. I think this is a bug seeing as its just affecting the settlers.


I wasnt going to post it, but i noticed this problem happen to someone on my team yesterday.

Sorry if this was already posted, i tried searching around for anything that sounded remotely similar.

Had this same problem along with another friend. Also, "Globe Interface" or something similar to that would be listed just above the "Details Box" every several seconds. To clear it you would have to hit ESC. When your cursor was at rest, it would poop up again and you would have to hit ESC again to click on a unit. I also believe that it was from accessing the globe view.

You have this problem because you have activated the map draw option. Unselect that option and the problem will be solved.

For me it seems to always crash to the desktop when i get a great person and use it. Sometimes the game crashes after 2 mins, sometimes it's possible to play for an hour.

Now crashes happen when playing in single player mode on the largest map. At later stages in the game loading takes a lot of time and then crashes.

Yesterday I experienced my first graphics errors (friend as well) and my friend had some units walking on water (direct ip game).

Still haven't received an answer from Take2.


System: Athlon64 3200+, 1GB RAM, Radeon X800XL

How do you unselect the "draw map" option? And second, does this take into account the settler issue? It seems to only affect that specific unit.

Yes, i know this. I stated in my post:

Im only bringing this up because it Only seems to affect the settlers. Its some type of bug.


Weekends, to deselect the Make Line, select view, or is it view line? Its among the four options. I usually click View lines, and then click on the main line tool (same way you opened the tool in global view) before i zoom back just to make sure. Maybe only clicking the main tool w/o switching off Make Line might work?
