Cant play game!!!!!!

ok guys,i installed the game no problem,but then when i click the icon and everthing else,it says"This application has failed to start because D3DX9_26.DLL was not found". i tried re-installing and everything.please help!!!!

That's an essential file belonging to DirectX.

Try and reinstall DirectX from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...20-BFBB-4799-9908-D418CDEAC197&displaylang=en

ok dude,getting really ticked off right now....tried that download,halfway through it were it copys files it says "directX did not copy a required file" then the installation stops.COME ON!!!!!!I wanna play CIV!!!!!!

When you installed DirectX off of the cd/dvd did it look like it completed?

If it's just the one that's missing (which is a long shot) then you can download it here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/pop.php?d3dx9_26 It'll download a zip. Just extract the dll inside it to C:\windows\system32 (might be C:\winnt\system32).

That might get you working...
