Hi, I just bought G&K and I can't seem to get any mods to work. I've tried checking them in different orders and things, but even when I try to use them alone or turn off G&K and use mods I know worked on Vanilla I can't get them to work. Some of them are updated and working for G&K as well so Idk what to do.

At the moment I can't get any mod to work, but if anybodys curious the full list of mods I would like to use is Cultural Diffusion (v11), Cultural Capitals (v11), Government Buildings (v1), City States UU (v4), Global - Barbarian XP level 3 (v2), Units - Rangers (v6), Units - Super carrier (v4), Stone Town wonder (v1), Record Label (v5).
I wanted to use Treegrowth (v3) and Random events (v7) but the threads indicated they wouldn't work with G&K.

Same here. I downloaded and enabled soem mods. I clicked ot next, then came the window which listed the activated components. In the game no one of functional.

Pls. help. As I see not only me who has this very, very serious issue...

I also have the same problem... NOT A SINGLE MOD WORKS IN MY CIV SINCE I INSTALLED G&K

No one has any ideas on this?

Beats me.Sorry.

Well, mods work quite fine for me in G&K, but i got some strange problems with some of them. I got a good view on the upcoming problems.

First of all, check if the mods you are trying to use are ALL compatible with G&K. If one of them isn't, it breaks the sync of game.

Second, some of the mods are not written good...and are incompatible with other mods. Uncheck all mods and try them out alone as a single mod. So you find out, which one makes the problem.

In most cases i got problems with mods who change social or research things. Your cultural diffusion works, but i could only check the first 2 options in the games options panel (there are 4 of them in the detailed game options to check). Otherwise the game is wrecked.

Fully compatible and secure seem to be mods that don't change game code like InfoAddict or Map scripts. Try them first for testing.

Well, hope this might help a bit. ;)

I am entering into the world of mods with G+K and I am experiencing the same problem. In this case, it is with the mod infoaddict v.19 and no others. I subscribe, enable, download and seemingly install the mod. When I hit the "Next" button on the mods dialogue box, I get a small dialogue box that lests intalled mods bout does not offer a "Next" button, only a "Back" button. I I enable one of the DLC scenarios and not the infofaddict mod, it offers a "Next button along with the little list of installed mods. The "Next" button leads to starting a game.

I suspect some write permissions/administrator's rights thing, but I have no idea where it would be.

This is exactly what it happens to me as well... It has nothing to do with permissions or administrator's rights for sure because I only use the computer as administrator... It is also nothing related to the compatibility of the mods because those are mods that everyone uses, top rated, it is stated that they are compatible with G&K and I tried around 20 and not a single one worked =/

Hope this trick helps. Did you get these mods off steam or did you download them from civfanatics? Sometimes its best to delete the folders in you mod folder (my doc, my games, sid 5, MODS). With steam launch civ 5 and hopefully it reinstalls the mods (hopefully no older versions) or redownload them through civfanatics and place them in the MODS folder. Best of luck thats all I know.

Tried it. Emptied the mods folder. Used Steam Workshop to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to infoadict v19. It seemed to do all the right things. I went to the mods list in civ 5 and enabled infoaddict. Still get the list of "mods used" but no "Next" button. Restarted Civ 5. No luck. Emptied mods folder and downloaded from Civfanatics. No change in symptoms.

I managed to make it work! MY SOLUTION:

1 - Start Civ and unsubscribe from all mods
2 - Quit both Civ and Steam
3 - If the MOD folder is not empty, clear it. Also clear the whole cache folder!
4 - Restart both Steam and Civ
5 - Now should be working

It's a pain in the ass, but.. It solves the issue... F**k steam!

I did all that. No improvement. I uninstalled and re-downloaded Civ 5. No luck.
