I have made a few scenrios in GEM.
But I dont know why, one be one they become unplayable.
I just cant play them. I am defeated right at start of the game.
Sometimes it it like that right after I finish building the scenario, and sometimes it happens only after a few days of playing.
In one scenario I made I start defeated, and Egypt and Greece start with 10000 on the scoreboard. But if I start with Egypt or Greece it's alright, and all the civilizaions appear on the map.
4 hours ago I played it perfectly.

Why does is happen?

Welcome to modding ... it could be any number of reasons.

But if I have already played this scenario and it worked, what could make it just stop working after a while without me editing it?
So I think it is a problem in my version of the game or something.

It could be that the error didn´t trigger until a certain event.

If you start a scenario and it says you are defeated, you have made a mistake modding. That´s why when I made scenarios, after each change made, I´d start up the game to see if it worked. Doing so after you´ve completed an entire scenario is... a huge waste of time (since errors easily slip in).

From the Egypt/Greece example I´d say the error is somewhere in the civ you start playing with. (But that´s just a guess...)

At any rate, any changes you make to the standard game, you should always play through a couple of turns to see if nothing wird shows up. (Or, ofcourse, check anything you changed at least twice to see if you didn´t mess up somewhere.)

Without any further info that´s about all I can say about it.

I haven't changed anything since the last time it worked.
It can't be a modding mistake, because I built the scenario in the World Builder.
It isn't a certain event causing the eror, since I once could start a game in the scenario, and now I can't even do that.
It happened to me several times in the GEM. Can the reason be the map size?

* I checked it now, and I can't run any GEM scenario. Not only scenarios I made.
The only scenario I can play is a scenario in which everyone start with settlers and scouts.

Then the problem is most likely with GEM (which takes up quite a bit of memory) or GEM isn´t properly installed (since GEM sceanrios should start up fine).

This is a 1800 BC scenario.
This is my first scenario, so it isn't very professional..
But historically it is very correct.

* Marathon is recommanded.

* Judaism represents the Mesopotamian religions
Islam represents the Elamite religion
Buddhism represents the Hattic religion
Christianity represents the Egyptian religion
Confucianism represents Shenism
Taoism represents the East Asian Shamanism (was common in ancient korea and china).
Hinduism is Hinduism..

* Barbarians represent less imortant cities or city-states.
Two barbarian cities who share the same border aren't the same "state".

* Mesopotamia is based on the Shory Chonology.

I'd love to know if there is something to improve.
