Can't run .jar files

First, my .jar files weren't associated with any program. So I associated them with javaw.exe... But when I try to run a java file (like woc_installer.jar) I get the following error:
"Could not find the main class : *path*/file.jar. Program will exit."

I have already managed once to run a Sim City 4 .jar file using some contorted way - but now I don't remember how I did that - IIRC It was something about changing the location from where I ran the file...

Uninstalling and reinstalling the JRE didn't work... please, can you help?

Rightclick on the .jar -> open with -> Java SE Platform binary should be an option there.

Ummm... just out of curiosity - what does it have to with Civ4?

EDIT: never mind, I just noticed the woc_installer example.

The option is there because I added it. And it doesn't work.

I'd ask on the main java forums, but I get a 500 server error when I try to login there.
