Can't see new upkeep when changing civics

According to the manual, when you consider changing a civic through the advisor screen, the upkeep is supposed to update so you can see the increased (or decreased) cost of doing it. This does not seem to happen, at least not on my computer.

Am I missing something?

I've seen it show the update a couple times, but usually it doesn't.

Agreed. Doesn't change. I have to change and cross my fingers that the new one is OK.

if it hadn't worked in the first game of all that i played (german language setup), i would have thought it was altogether broken.

recently it worked for the first time in the english language installaion that i now play.....

i think it has to do with the mouseover/focus bug
