Can't select different Maps in Create a Game (stuck on "Continents)"

Hi there,
Hope you are all well.
The only map the game is allowing me to use is Continents. It used to work fine until a week ago.
Now, when I go to create a game, it will allow me to change the map setting in the drop-down section to whatever, but it still shows "Continents" after selecting something else. Ingame, it's still "continents" as well and it shows "continents" in the saved game screenshot as well.

I've tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. I've recently added New Frontier to my game, but this issue was present before that already.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi, I had the same issue, so I tried to uninstalling it and then it worked. After some time, I tried creating a new game and the bug came back, so I tried uninstalling it again but it's still there. Looking for help as well.

Just got it resolved thanks to a reply on the civ fanatics website:
Turn off all community mods - one of them hasn't been updated to the newest version of Civ (the new update). I turned off all the community mods and restarted my pc (hadn't since the update), and now it all looks fine.
