Can't Uninstall Ad Aware 2007 from Vista

'Ello,

Didn't know where else to look for help, but every time I try to uninstall AE 2007 (so I can install 2008), I get the following windows from Vista:

"(X)
The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation."

and then I click "OK" another window:

"You do not have sufficient access to Uninstall Ad-Aware 2007. Please contact your system administrator."

PS I am the "system administrator." =)
What options need changing?

Are you logged in as the admin account though?

Yupp, there's only one account and it's the admin.

Having not used Vista yet, there are some new features i'm not familiar with. Check the Help and see if you need to enter a password or something to hit some Admin features.

Are you able to update the definition files and access their web site?

Yupp, that I can do.
The issue is that if I somehow make it work for AE2007 there are probably other programs I won't be able to uninstall unless I figure out what setting is causing this.

I was just thinking it might be a virus on your system. They typically know about the major spyware programs and can block them so they can't be downlaoded or installed. But, if you can access the site and get updates it doesn't seem to be the case.

Ok, this actually seems to be a common problem for Vista. I've researched it a bit.

My system's clean, btw.

Anyway, I downloaded "Revo Uninstaller" and that pretty much solves the problem.
