I was playing 2194 Days Of War and I must say its fantastic, one of the best I ever played. It hs inspired be to make a war scenario based on a book I read. And I keep trying to find the right map but none seem to work right. But the map you used in 2194 is perfect. I dont want to use the scenario as a template but I was wondering where I could get that map from. Do you have it somewhere for download or could you send me a copy. My scenario involves Japan and your map is perfect for my needs. I would really appreciate it if you could send it to me. I am not good at making maps.

I think you'd get more help if you posted in the Scenario Creation section. Most of us up here in this part of the thread are just players ;)

THANK YOU THANK YOU. A THOUSAND THANK YOUS. That did the trick. I wish I knew that earlier. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Just for info Mondas, Captain Nemo and Alex the Magnificent haven't been active in the civ creation community for years. If you liked 2194 have a look at Nemo's Red Front - it's one of the finest scenarios ever created, but be warned it's not for the faint of heart....

I see I feel a bit sorry for him he seems to have wasted five years of his life playing nothing but Civ2. I can understand he no longer has the will to make any big scenarios but I still think he should have carried on making units and helping out other people abit instead of just completly retireing.

I think that you will find that everyone's priorities and interests change as they go through life.

If you check his sequence of scenarios from you'll see that they became increasingly complex and and push harder against the limitations of the Civ2 engine. Eventually, there is no way to surmount the limits. I can well understand his burnout and the reluctance of of a pioneer in scenario design to go back to designing units.
