Capture The Princess Problem

Hi, I am playing Conquests and I just took out another civilization. At any rate, I was playing Capture the Princess and I am having problems picking up his princess... It just sits there and I can't move her or have a unit gather him up. I have version 1.22.

Do I need a certain unit or am I missing something? The guy's city isn't there and I tried building a city on the square with no luck.

I've tried picking up the princess using a musketman and a cavalry unit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Move a unit over the Princess. You should then see a special button you have to press in order to pick it up. You have to have the advanced buttons selected in Preferences first though.

IIRC, Capture the Princess/Flag doesn't work in C3C. What you're referring to, Willerm, is Reverse CtF (like those Relics or Treasures from the Conquests).

I got exactly the same problem. I was playing a game and had 31,000 VP. I elimitated the princessesciv so i wold have gotten 20,000 and won. I couldn't capture princess and ai with 46,000 VP at the time won in a few turns.

For some reason, in one of my games, I can only pick up my own princess. So I ran back and forth from my capital to my capital and I won in 25 turns.

That is right. Also, after you pick up the princess with a unit say a modern armor, you have to bring that modern armor back to your capital and release the princess. Then you can see that princess in your city. Also if you decided to give the captured city with the princess to its previous owner, the princess and all your units in that city will automatically be returned to your capital.
