Cat chases bear up tree

I live in areas with the same types of bears, and they don't have the the Grizzly Bear personality that most people think of when they think of bears, They've come with in 5 feet of me, and they were really only curious of me than anything else, and if you started to make large noises they would leave. When they go across my lawn (I have pictures if you want) they could be sacred off if you started to make any large noise. This report could defititly be true if the bear was a yearling, just seperated from Mom (which would have happened just a bit ago) and so are rather nervious and don't really know what to do besides to wander around since they don't have any territory like the later bears.
