Metropolis Man
Warlord
Every time I've tried to use a catapult (pressing B) on an enemy nothing happens. I don't know if there are movement requirements, etc. Help me out.
Metropolis Man said:Figuered it out. Thanks, everyone. I got some artillary later in a game. Makes the catapaults look like Tonka Trucks.
dresdor said:and bombers make artillery look like match-box cars. Longer range, higher success rate...able to travel at sea (carriers) while attacking everything within range.
Tomoyo said:Also, bombers can get shot down, and can't move and fire the same turn.
The Last Conformist said:Protecting your Arty stacks from the AI is only too easy, however. And by the time I get bombers, I usually have a huge pile of Arty anyway - why not continue using it?
morchuflex said:Artillery is especially good at repelling enemy fleets from your coasts. If you have railroads, you can roll your arty wherever needed in a second and damage those pesky ironclads that keep trying to destroy your improvements. It doesn't sink them, but the AI always brings them back home when they have less than 50% HP. Gives you breathing time.
