32 GB RAM
C2C v43

Suggestions?
 
I think if u r trying to use higher resolution than 1920 by 1080 u may see this error pop up.

So it's apparently not specific to C2C - because I found a thread about that exact error on another mod.

In short, it's because the C2C.thm file isn't where the game expects it to be. I put the C2C mod folder here and the problem went away.

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Civilization IV Complete\Civ4\Beyond the Sword\Mods

This is the one where the forum banned him for his name. He just had a baby... yes a slew of interesting ideas. Shoot me too (in a positive way) but I may be introducing yet a third home for discussions and perhaps even a 4th that may take off. The problem isn't the tech but personal preferences of the platforms we want to use. If we're stuck to one, it's just as much on us when someone else also has an opinion that sticks them on one. Everyone these days finds what they like.

Except for whatsapp. whatsapp can kick rocks. lol. I'm just not too open to inviting hongkong ai chicks to flirt with me all day out of the blue. Useless.

As I play thru some of the new changes u have made I may have some more CivicInfos Updates soon.
And with U visiting I can get them incorporated faster.
One main Problem for me is that I seem to never get a test game past Ren Era before new changes occur.
I/WE need a way to start a Game in the Later ERAs, because pepper2000's last 5 Eras modmod that was added in, have really not been combed thru like they need to be.

Finally if u can post upcoming changes u have in mind for the Massive Mod here that would be super as we can then give u feedback.

No problem any changes you have for civics i can implement, and right now im pausing to see if there are some bugs and im planning to do a release for mod db with TB. We have not made a release in a very long time.
 
For the future, spawn rate rework for animals to make smaller faster breeds be more then slower bigger etc etc. Trapping implemented for trapers. Realistic hunt option where hunters store food and return to city. Upkeep update to later buildings to cost more gold. Also plan on adding 40 crime/dissease events.
 
Been hit 3 times already with the pop reducing influenza event all n the Preh & Ancient eras so far.

I hope the 40 Crime/Disease events show up more in the later eras than early game. I guess we will see, ;) When I was handed the Crime & Disease bldgs from Dancing Hoskuld ppl want to know why there were only 20 diseases. Dancing grouped them by type and 20 was the number of types he came up with. I miss DH he had a lot of ideas and was good with python.at that time. Had health issues though.

many of the events were just enabled and updated by me, the influenza event was nerfed before release was much worse in OG state. The idea is to keep health in check or pandemics can happen as in real life. I have a plan to split this event into 4 separate events with different t trigger rates and severity as to lessen the blow on the player at fisrt but if ignored to cripple the player later on.
 
I was getting to like all those wart Hogs too! LOL:lol:;) I got pig farms in all my cities!
 
Was a syntax error on my part. Now a question what do you think should be focused on to improve aside from the ai since that is not my speciality? Any ideas... for v45
 
1 thing that has bugged me for sometime is the runaway Spawn rate for Barb units in the Preh Era. I got Toffer to reduce it a bit several years ago but he wanted more play to see if it was a real problem. Since I do lots of playtesting because of the Civics (my area of current work). I have had Barb city wars last up thru Classical era on Immortal and Deity game levels

Maybe Osk21, tmv, Somebody or lobosan etc might have a suggestion on this for the levels they like to play?

I cannot play Pits' UEM scenario because I just don't have the time to play that Huge a Map or Longest Game speed anymore.
 
I would love it if there was an option where you would see resources in the fog of war unless you knew the tech when you last saw the tile.

It feels a bit weird that I’ll know there Iron on the other side of the continent because I had a scout there at the beginning of time before I even knew fire.
Don’t know how feasable that would be to accomplish though.

Having to re-check areas of interest after you’ve discovered a tech that reveals resources would also make scouts more usable after the first exploration part of the game as well.

I’ve also had some thoughts recently on a more expanded system regarding resources where some resources would need special units to be discovered.
Let’s take iron for example. So… you’ve researched iron so it has been revealed.
Your scout sees something shimmering in the rocks and reports back home that he’s found something but doesn’t know what it is (the tile gets a resource symbol that marks there’s an unidentifed resource there.
Out goes the geologist, visits the hill and examines it (could be an action) and can then reveal that it was just yet another copper rich hill (of which you already have plenty within the kingdom.

But wait a minute… the neighbor is building iron units so he must have a source, we don’t know where in his kingdom but perhaps it could be in those hills north of us where he settled recently. Let’s send a (not so) friendly party to check. And to be honest, aren’t those really rightfully ours?
 
Except for that I mostly wish for a bug that’s been present for years (haven’t reported it so my bad). As far as I know it onöy occurs when playing hot seat. Basically every other turn something goes wrong when rendering improvements and resources, so the rendering stops halfway through sort of. This means that in order to see where the resources are you need to enable the resource markers.
In order to see what improvement you have on a tile you need to either hover on the tile and read the info box, or you can go into the city screen and change the tile assignemnt. Unassigning or assigning a worker to the tile has the game render that tile again (since the graphics change I suppose).

The only way to fix the issue properly when it occurs is to relod the game (fortunately that doesn’t take very long anymore).
Some times the error doesn’t occur for hours, but most of the time it’s every other turn.

Anyhow it seems to be hotseat only so I guess it shouldn’t have much priority since I doubt there’s many of us enjoying the mod that way.


Also wan’t to give a big thanks to all current and previous modders. This mod is insane and I’ve been playing it since v13 I think.
