Caveman 2 Cosmos

Is V44 the last revision (11644)?
After installing V44 I loaded a game I had been playing from a SVN 11644 load. It did not ask for an update "Ctrl Shift T". So yeah I think it is basically SVN 11644 with some language and typo changes. flabbert would be the 1 to know best.

I really think you should update the FIRST post. With all the new details, lol.
U r a Pickle! LOL! Just went back and reread the 1st 3 pages! Wow what a Nostalgia Trip! And many wanting RevDCM added in. I absolutely hated RevDCm back then and still do!

I finally got back onto my old Civfanatics account from years ago to thank all the developers of C2C for their wonderful work, especially with v44! I've been following and playing this mod since quill18's first YouTube playthrough of the mod well over a decade ago. I never really got into making modmods for C2C like I said I would years ago, but if I had the resources and knowledge I would try to find a solution to making C2C a standalone game to overcome the 32-bit engine and other barriers for Multi-Maps and AI. Anyways, thank you all!

One of the current/recent modders actually IS working on this for quite a while now. Not holding my breath for it, but also would SQUEEEEEE, if it actually happens.
Imagine C2C, but without the stupid Memory limitations:
-Ginormous size Earth Map with equivalent maps for Space areas (which is conceptually ALREADY working even here).
-Literally every single culture/nation you can research, added onto the map AT THE SAME TIME.
-Even more concepts, more units, more buildings, more ANIMALS, more PLAYER SPECIES, and even ALIENS (again, we ALREADY have Neanderthals, hello).
-More, more, MORE, MOOORRREEE!!!
Like, literally the only real reason we DON'T have 99% of that, is because it'd crash the mod in a stupid MAF. But if that was NOT an issue anymore...
Just. Imagine. THAT.

It would be so unimaginably cool it would blow your top!

Thank you for this!

I've played a few Civ 4 mods, but never tried Cavesman 2 Cosmos even though I've heard of it in the early 2010s. Looking forward to checking it out.

Is there a link to the leader traits guide? This link from the first page leads to a Google Sheet with the tech tree:
You can check it in-game in Civpedia. It will also depend on whether you are gonna use premade Leaders or Developing (where YOU decide what they get over time, lol).

Yeah, but I doubt it will happen before Civ99, unfortunately.
Ye of little faith. When I have the time to act in this direction things will advance rapidly. At the moment its crunch time for me on my own income generating activities like never before despite all my whining up to now.

Btw, if anyone needs help with running FB and/or Instagram ads, let me know.

Stickied forum posts are hard to find these days. :)

Been a while since I played C2C, is the AI any better now?

Yes, YES! Inject this directly into my veins!
Well, it's a pretty huge (gaming) dream for me, so I tend to rather expect less, while promoting more, so to speak.
I mean, the moment you REALLY go into "we can use ALL the computer memory", lol, I'll whip out a "200 civs Mega Earth Map" scenario faster than you can blink, loool.
200 civs? 400 civs Tera Earth map or no balls.

I generally like this so far, but I think I have found a major bug. I am getting crazy rewards for simply killing things like deer, wolves, bears, and such. As much as 350 food in some instances. They are also giving me some research points too. Could it be because I have fight or flight on or maybe because it looks like master hunters can't be made now.

Edit: I see you can still make the master hunter units after researching the required tech.

Certain animals need to be nerfed a LOT. There are WAY too many tigers, big packs of lynx, and big packs of bears among others that strength 6 units with all animal upgrades can not touch. I may just revert back to 43. These animals are too much even with better rewards.
