Caveman2Cosmos screenshoot/save showoff thread.

Make sure to post these saves in the bugs and crashes. These aren't happenstance or memory based but a code flaw that needs solved.
Sorry TB, but this is still my game on a 2015 version we're talking about here. I thought it was resolved no debugging involving it would be taking place...

Ah... yeah that would be tough to work with.

Can you post screenshots of your unresearched tech tree?
I don't think you have much of techs to research.
Cyberwarfare is now Information era tech, there is 5 more eras after Information era - I posted screenshots of entire tech tree as it is in SVN.
Link is in my signature.

You asked for it...

I wish!!!

That's the rest of Transhuman from where I am now. There's another 5 screens of Galactic or whatever, admittedly they have very little in them...

Major nuclear/biological attack by Willem of Brazil on undeserving one-city ex-vassal Spain.

I counted 10 H-bombs and 3 BBMs...

Turn 7000, Eons, year 1901CE, early Transhuman (hit era turn 6968 - turns are 19 days right now)

Have been playing save for 14 months and 11 days. Merry Christmas everybody! :D

There are nanotech swarm units in this era.

Dust those civs :borg::mwaha:
He's enough points ahead of them all that if he wanted to he could have long ago.

99 cities! Only one more and you'll have 100!

This is a truly impressive save and overall game effort! I'm also impressed the game could get so far in without crippling issues - that really shows how hard the work on this mod has been, particularly of late from @billw2015!

Thanks to everyone on the team this Holiday Season! I'm so excited to see the manifesting future of this mod take shape still.

Sorry for sort of reviving an old thread, but I got quite a funny situation. Forgot to turn on "Peace Among NPCs", and on an uninhabited island I met someone who became a true hunter-killer :D

I wouldn't say they are hunters, just tough as nails and highly capable of kicking the ass out of the predators they have, mostly due to their numbers. Strange that the name isn't saying what kind of group it is. Did someone break that system?

I see broken icons in GP bar.

Use steam guide: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/for-those-who-use-steam-to-play-c2c.639734/

Also flags are broken, you have to unselect "low resolution textures" in graphical options.
Similarly you need at least medium render quality and unselected "frozen animations".

Did you select "reckless wildlife" game option by the way?

There were two options -- "Dangerous wildlife" and "Reckless animals", I used the former. Regarding textures -- I use the memory saver option, which sets all of my settings to Low by default (in hopes that the game won't slow down too much after industrial era). The flags / icons are broken, I know, it's a little annoying, but I'm ok with that for now :)

Memory saver doesn't set anything.
Also memory savings by those graphics settings are insignificant.

Great people icons are broken because you didn't set game to beta version in steam.

Yeah, you are right, I just remembered where I got the "memory saver" option -- via ".ini" file modification. It does, for some reason, cause a CTD when I set AA to 0.
As for Great People icons -- I'm ok with that, to be honest -- as long as the mechanics work, I'm ok with just hovering over the GP bar.

Well to change AA setting you must temporarily turn off memsaver - bug in engine.

Also other things are broken by not running beta version of game too.

Which ones? I recall asking in the forums regarding that, and the reply was that only visual changes are affected (no internal mechanics). Honestly, I've had like 5+ games in a row that I led to Classical+ era on Eternity, and then faced a bug from the SVN or my local configuration, and ended up updating and starting a new game, so if the game currently works (I mean in terms of mechanics, interface issues aren't of a concern) than that's good enough, I just want to have a long run :)

If you like graphical bugs, then you can play with them.

It takes 30 seconds to change to the Steam beta, and it's completely risk-free.

Iust(inianus) Aeg(ypti) save, Eons Turn 7700, early Galactic, year is 1938
20200608135413_1.jpg

19 months, 25 days since start of save...

Captured a few, and autorazed a lot, of cities with Felis Superiors. Autorazes left space for founding new cities too. Beat my previous personal best of 118 cities (in the Aotearoa save). AIs have been stable for a while now, I don't plan to attack any more cities unless they revolt.

Iustinianus Aegypti save, Eons halfway turn 8000, a few turns from Cosmic era
20200822172729_1.jpg

Shown is Hemagiri, which finally has some of our culture around it - it took 1164 turns to get its first adjacent tile.

22 months, 8 days since save started.
