CCTP Working Version Progress

Hi, look at my separate thread with getting TSL work with it. If you encounter some issue please ask there. I am looking for any improvement suggestion.

Hi. Where aluminium, uranium and other resources? I start in prehistoric era, then add all technologies and policies, but nothing of these was not opened in map. Used only cctp, whowards dll and ige.

Which map are you using? This seems to be an issue with the "Earth" mapscript.

How is the on going progress of the new coming update?

Hey, sorry to say but there are currently no plans for a new version.

It looks like CCTP is on hold, i just can speek for myself but i lost the interest in playing CiV.

Maybe this will change, but until this i dont see that i will do some work for CCTP.

The latest version of CCTP is on Github, and its free to everybody, so if someone like to push a update out, i would welcome that.

So sorry to hear that. I check back every few weeks in hopes of progress. I hope that you will regain the interest someday or someone else in your group can finish the project. I wish I could help but I don't know how to do any of that stuff. Maybe a kickstarter fund? Anyway be well and thanks for all the hard work on this awesome mod.

Thanks for the cheers:)

To your issue, just turn off the time (turn) victory, and you can play as many turns as you want.

The turn mechanic is one of the parts thats still unfinished.

It is kinda sad that this mod is on hold now. I was as many checking back every few weeks to see if news arise.

I hope you regain interest in it someday. I can not mod myself and it would be just too sad to let a mod this good die.

its a shame to see it get put on hold, wish i knew how to mod. maybe gyogen will/can keep it running with some help? if not it was nice playing this mod but will most likely have to be retired for me.

Actually modding is matter of getting to know API and tools, well part of it anyway.Considering that over years this community has exploited and squeezed everything there is from this game, it's even easier.

There is a lot of tuts/doc, examples, senior/experienced modders are still very active so they are available to give hints and working with existing code base is much easier than starting something from scratch, of course knowledge of C++/Lua is bonus.

Problem however If someone would like to pick where it's left (me for instance), where to start ?

Over 700 buildings and Wonders
Over 400 Technologies
Over 200 Policies

This is daunting to say the least and there is probably bunch of balance issues.I would start from doing "house cleaning " and putting back removed pieces as time goes by and I get more input about balance and flow of game. And here is my point, I already think of different way to approach mod and it won't be same because no one,not me or anyone else, has vision, would have same plans as original authors, so best thing is to wait for them and in mean time play what you have or switch to something else in mean time.

If my schedule frees up a bit i might think about getting into modding.
I just like the idea of a mod that starts in the prehistoric age and then goes on into a high tech future age, kind of like call to power did :)
