I wonder if anyone knows a decent, free, program to allow me to burn MP3s to a cd so they can be played on a regular cd player that I can download. Also I don't want any limits on the number of songs, I want to be able to fill the cd without restriction. I currently use Windows Media Player because I've got nothing else to use. It really sucks, it is really slow and it won't take full advantage of the speed of the burner. It also cuts of the end of some songs. Thanks, in advance for any help.

IIRC MusicMatch Jukebox allows you to burn your MP3-Songs to CD. In the free version the Burn-Speed is limited to 2x but the rest should work properly (I burned several 80-Min-CD's with this one)

Edit: forgot the link: www.musicmatch.com

Roxio should be free. It came free with my CD Burner.

IIRC it's not free, it just came bundled with your Burner, just as some people get Winword bundeled with their PC.

I can already do that. I want a program so I can use the full speed of my burner.

Fireburner is a good prog, I believe it should burn at the max speed. It may have an option to burn faster then your CDRW is specified for, which can be buggy, but you can burn up to 72X

Is it free? If so where can I download it?

You can also try Acoustica, which is an outstanding program, and I believe it is found at www.acoustica.com, but it is a trial program that will only be free for 14 days. Of course, at that point you can just delete and re-install, and continue using it free, or even do the unthinkable and pay a programmer for his or her hard work on the program.

As for fireburner just do a net search. I think it is free(I may be mistaken) but just do a search for it, if not, try kazaa.

Like i said I don't think it costs money, mine still runs and I downloaded it off the net(don't think it was bootlegged). If you can't find it perhaps I can see if I can .zip it and give it to you somehow when I get home.

FB is shareware. Continued use past 15 days requires registration.
Still looking. I personally use Nero - got it with one of my CD-RW drives. As gonzo said you could always use Kazaa.....

Looking on http://www.moochers.com/ to see if they have a program listed (this is a free/adware program listing site).
