I AM LOOKING FOR A CD CRACK FOR CIV 3 PLEASE REPLAY IF YOU KNOW OF ONE ???

THANKS: KOMBAT_01

Sorry, this forum is only for finished files. File requests posts don't belong here.

Moving this thread to Civ3 General...

I have the game but I would like to have the no-cd crack as well, but I dont think there is one out yet :(

um anyone who's FIRST post is to ask us for a CD crack is NOT someone who purchased the game... c'mon Thunderfall, can't you close threads like this? I've said it before, but as someone who's made a living selling "intellectual" property, stuff like this makes me ill. Most of you have no idea what it's like to watch your efforts and hardwork get used against your will.

the game is pretty cheap anyway compared to other new releases

isnt it like 30 bucks now? I still hate the thought that some b#ast#rd is out there playing a game I payed $65 for. Dunno what can be done about it though

I dont agree I crack all my games. Craking games so I dont need to put in a cd help's alot of people. Some people like me have a bad cdrom is which occasualy freezes up any game..

I'm not defending no-CD cracks, but I really wish more companies would allow people to register games electronically with the CD in the drive, then allow the game to be played without the CD.

I'll go out on a limb and guess the issue is money, not technology. :) But is it really that expensive to have a software program that generates and tracks CD-keys? Besides all the warez and no-cd cracks are costing game companies anyways so why not come up with a 99% foolproof system that doesn't overly inconvenience legit owners?

Rhetorical questions here, but something to think about I suppose...

I have a screenwriting program called Final Draft which allows you to register your computer so you can use the program with the disc. Otherwise, all other installs require it.

But then again, Final Draft is not a major target for pirates being it appeals to a limited audience whereas CIV 3 has a huge one.

Personally, my computer has two cd drives and I have no problem keeping the cd in one tray the entire time. I mean, this is civ after all ;)

IIRC, Half-Life had a key system that didn't require the CD after install. I could be wrong, but I don't know of any major exploits of that system and Half-Life is an incredibly popular game.
