What are your solutions?

I remember I had a starcraft cd that was completely wore down beyond recognition, I don't want my civ4 cd to wear down the same way. Also, can you play Warlord or BTS with vanilla CD rom or Warlords for BTS????

If your CD is getting worn down, go out and replace your drive ASAP - your current one is a piece of junk. A properly designed/manufactured drive only makes physical contact right in the middle.

Stealing is bad

Aren't you the exact same guy who just asked this question in a closed thread?

I am planning to buy Civ 4, Warlords and BTS, but I was wondering if you could play without cd at least if there was a crack to do it, I don't trust warez sites so I thought I should ask people here. I was wondering if a crack would allow you to play multiplayer, with a LEGIT CD KEY of course, since I am gonna buy the game.
How, exactly are you worried about your CD wearing-down if you haven't even bought the game yet?

Don't order any pizza for two nights... then you can buy the game instead.

By the time your CD wears down you probably will be bored with the game. Also many companies will perlace a legit destroyed CD with a minimal shipment fee anyway.

If you have a good CD drive, your CD can't "wear down". CDs are read with a laser which will not damage the CD. At all. The only way a CD can wear down is if you consistently mistreat it, to the point that you physically scrape off it's plastic coating.

If you are going to use your CD/DVD drive as a coaster you should at least take the CD out of the drive first...

I put my civ four vanilla DVD in the drive two and a half years ago. Never took it out and it still looks bright and shiny :D. Yes I am hooked, but it aint as bad as it sounds, cause I never play any other games any more.

Stealing is bad. Also, didn't you have it for... A day? Less? Maybe?

Moderator Action: Considering your other thread was about a no CD crack, I think it's safe to close this thread.

Go buy the game...I've never had an issue with my Civ CDs, even after years of use, so as long as you don't do anything excessive, it's fine.
