I've been informed that the original world, whilst officially returning, will be reinstated by croxis with a far older save, one that effectively undoes all of Minestaff, and only retains Fanatica and the beginnings of Civtown. That being said, while I'll miss the "nice" parts of Minestaff which I had hoped to leave largely unchanged even after we get back to Minestaff, namely the Nice Hill and the Port, and in terms of a workload perspective, the Canal, this does, however, save us a extensive amount of bulldozing ugly Minestaff and replacing an renovating it with a better, newer, Minestaff.
Instead, we now start over, but to avoid the messy disorganization that resulted in Minestaff's previous undesirableness, as co-mayor, it my vision/goal, to recreate the urban downtown, that was a truly unique feature of Minestaff that no other conglomeration has yet to replicate, and I wish to retain its feel in the construction of New Minestaff. But, it demands asking, should New Minestaff have the same old hub of buildings with the odd skyscraper (the Library), or instead, have skyscrapers be the focus (of any material but dirt)? I'd prefer the latter, it is another idea yet to be attempted, and of course, we're not lacking in committed manpower. As a planned city, this of course, wouldn't mean that your homes would be these skyscrapers (most would be public buildings), unless you would wish them to be, but rather, on the coastlines, we can have suburbs, a nice, and far larger, plots of land to create summer homes to watch the beautiful vista, a distant and designated area to fashion your land, unhampered by the crowded space of downtown. Given that the server is set to restart within a day or two as croxis announced, should any of you want to voice your approval one way or another, please do so, and suggestions are always encouraged.
I'd be especially happy to hear your thoughts about the rebuilding of New Minestaff
remake, given that I believe that we are co-mayors.
