Am i the only one that thinks that sometimes its hard to distinguish a moderator from a regular poster?

I think it would be easier if all mods had this tag in their sig (kind of like a police badge):Moderator, or something like it. But then again i may be the only one who feels this way...

:)

Moderators have bigger avatars - 80x80, though most have not bothered to change. I wish we can do something like changing the font, or color, or bold, or style, or something about the userid in the box to the left of posts... Maybe TF can figure something out.

Welcome back. :)

Wheres Lefty been recently? I haven't run into any of his posts here for a while...

Mods all also have the title of moderator under their name.

Not entirely true. While most of them have (some spelling variant of) moderator as their title, there are also a "mac addict", "superlurker" and "orange soda" among their ranks.

That is true, but there is also a bar on the top of every forum that lists the moderators, not to mention the link on the bottom of the main forum page.

BTW, congrats on 10K Dell....

I think the original poster wasn't talking about knowing who were mods in general, rather that whilst browsing a thread a mod post would be far more noticeable...

Not sure if 10k posts is really a good thing...

Well most people know who the mods are....

Thats what I was implying... The idea would be to make Mod posts stand out more just in general browsing.

Afraid you're going to get the internet-forum version of trying to sell drugs to a cop? :p

Noo, please don't! :(

I don't like it when mods look different. They are part of the community, not an elite class. It would harm the good will of the community you try to distinguish yourselves...

Elitest scum! ;)

It would probably only be minor differences such as a highlighted name which is perhaps less of a difference than larger avatars, since many people would like larger avatars whilst no one has requested a bolder type for their name...

I don't think there is much need, as stormy said, Mods are just regular posters, why do we need to make them above everyone else (wait, I am comparing the all-knowing Mods to us mere peons, whatever am I doing?!?!?). Besides, at the top of every Forum, you can see the names of the Mods for taht section.

We know who we are. That is enough.

With out goodly crew of colosseum moderators, and my litmited budget of time log on, one of the other guys usually get to a problme first. Now I mostly just float around, supermoderator style.

well if a mod starts a thread that uis close to breaking the rules, you know its okay to respond to that thread, otherwise you might be like *what if this topic really isn't okay, i don't want to post on case i get introuble by bieng associated with it*

it appers this has alread began to take shape, TF's name is now in italics...
