how about amsterdam in the summer? i haven´t made about any plans for the summer yet and i´ve heard that amsterdam is a great city.

Well, amsterdam is already half way to Munich so just come over during Oktoberfest 2002
Sleeping wouldn't be a problem since you can drink till you sleep on the grass behind the tents or till those nice ppl in the white jackets with the red cross on it take you to a warm place to stay

that sounds perfect, but it might be difficult to go somewhere in october. i will have studies to do.

Unfortunately the only time I'm on the East Coast is when I'm going to college, so not much free time there. In May after I'm released, err, finish my classes I'll be driving past Philly on my way up to NY and up to Vassar in Poughkeepsie for my sister's graduation. Maybe this next summer something could be organized in Seattle, and our local Hippo could come down from BC and some Oregonians like Leowind could come up for it.

Sorry for not showing up since january, Matrix. But I'm busy as hell at the university to be able to finish this year with an acceptable result... However I do keep a half eye on the forum now and then. Guess I'm falling back to lurkership more and more
This meeting would be a great idea. I don't mind where it's held, Holland, Belgium, (Western) Germany . But I think it's rather important to be able to stay for the night..

Staying in Amsterdam shouldn't be too difficult. There are enough youth hostels or pensions there. But who would actually come? Perhaps we can find a more central place.

Count me in, Amsterdam could be fun. It all depends on if I can escape the holiday-work that I am fairly positive I´m going to get, but a few days (particulary a weekend) should not be any problems.

I like your suggestion, Knas.....I´m not a quiter either....
