I am up in Connecticut for Christmas and my lovely blonde, polish sister (3 strikes right there) left her CIV 3 disk at college so I can't take my turns when they come up:( and that means that I am going to have to spend even more time with my family and in-laws than expected

ON top of that, I wont be able to play PTW since she left that at college too.

I'll be back in town and with my own pc on the 30th. Till then, skip me.

Peace for a time...

Our only enemies are Japan who have just one city left. I believe that with our superior lands we should get a very big tech lead, and should be able to finally conquer Egypt with tanks (or artillery+infantry if someone's feeling bold). Anyway, my plan for the turn is simply to push for a big tech lead, following a standard Theory of Evolution into Hoover Dam approach.

(0) 1400 AD
Taxes to 4.6.0 as this doesn't change the arrival of the next tech.

(1) 1405 AD
Railroad construction and jungle and forest clearing continues. The Greeks successfully assault the last Japanese city, Satsuma, before we can get there. The Japanese are eliminated, ending our wars. We discover Scientific Method.

(2) 1410 AD
Chengdu switches from palace prebuild to the Theory of Evolution. Rush the factory in Paris as it will be building Hoover. Research set to sanitation, and taxes to 7.3.0 (10 turns/+562 gpt) to match the build time of the Theory of Evolution. We should have plenty of money by the time Sanitation is researched. Paris starts a palace prebuild.

(3) 1415 AD
Start with some settlers to fill in territorial gaps.

(4) 1420 AD
Settlers trained in Heliopolis, Xinjian and Anyang.

(5) 1425 AD
Found New Nanking in old Babylonian area. Chengdu grows, manage for Theory of Evolution in 5 turns, taxes to 6.4.0 for Sanitation in 5 as well.

(6) 1430 AD
Found New Tsingtao on the old France-Egypt border. Found New Xinjian in old Babylonian area. Yaxes back to 7.3.0 for Sanitation to match Theory of Evolution. Trade with Rome: Spices for 18gpt. Settler from Ur.

(7) 1435 AD

(8) 1440 AD
Taxes to 8.2.0 to match ToE/Sanitation. Found New Chengdu, an agressively placed settlement between old Babylon and Japan. Almost all land is railed (except down in the south of old Japan) so start merging workers into cities. Settler trained in New Canton.

(9) 1445 AD
Found New Hangchow on a hill (unfortunately wasting a gold) on the old Chinese/Babylonian border. Discover Sanitation. Hospital building begins. Settler trained in Orleans. Chengdu completes the Theory of Evolution and we discover Atomic Theory and Electronics. Atlanta (Ame) completes Shakespeare's Theater.

(10) 1450 AD
Taxes to 3.7.0 for Replacable Parts in 6 turns at +108gpt. Paris switches to the Hoover Dam from prebuild - due in 8 turns. Found Tientsin in the western lands of old China.

For the next player...
The tech choice can be changed as there are no beakers invested in it yet. Look out for tech trading opportunities, specifically from Greece who has The Corporation which we do not. Note that a lot of cities are very lightly defended, as I spent no shields on military units in my turn. We also have a ton of workers that are near the end of their usefulness. I recommend merging them as soon as we've built some hospitals.

In short what happened is this:
the romans and greeks are paying us a lot of gpt (about 200gpt each)
we have discovered replaceable parts and steel. we traded the corporation with the greeks.
about 100 worker have been merged into our cities.
we completed the hooverdam in Paris and battlefield medicine in Beijing.

here is the save:
