Must not play as Inca.
The highest score wins.

So, just wipe everyone out and choke the last one, then pump your cities full of Sushi while skirting the domination limit, right? I know it's Modern start, but could work.

Thought this would be a Sushi paradise. Turned out that I had no Sushi resources and was better off with Cereal Mills. Picked warmonger AIs that would tech Stealth rather than spaceship techs and peaceful leaders for them to beat up, crippling both of their economies. Wang Kon was one of them, because he favors Caste System.

Engineer rush and Armor rush?

Sid's Sushi should be great on a Big and Small map. Mining Inc should be useful too.

Problem is, my only coastal city isn't really up to building transports, it's more of a commerce city. And the stupid AI governor hiring Spy specialists when he's OFF forces MM after growth.

Yeah, so I skipped the part where it says highest score. Was so happy to beat enKage by time.

that is my very first game at modern start and did not know what to expect so I am pretty sure my date is not a good indicator of well played game. I also did not notice that the highest score wins, Iif I knew, I would take down at least Toku except Sury.

Hmmm, this looks interesting. Never played modern start nor maximized score before. I think I'll use this map to try out paratroopers. Always wanted to go island-hopping with those guys.

I didn't notice that the highest scores wins, alas.

World domination with 5-8 early tanks and a few airships, (made sure to have oil in the initial starting area). (And maximized the number of opponents since capturing cities in advanced starts is so much cheaper than building your own)

Then ended up capturing mining inc headquarters and founding cereal mills even though sushi would have been much better but a pain in the ass to optimize.

Massive continent and tiny islands does produce a lot of seafood resources. If I had known that it was highest scores wins I would have built a ton of tiny island cities, but I'm glad I didn't realize it since those score maximizing games get a bit tedious.

WastinTime showed me a trick once with score maximizing games. If you build a ton of settlers but don't settle them until you have won (to avoid winning by domination), it significantly increases your score. Hmm, now that I think about it that was maximizing score by domination victory. So I guess you would have to be really crazy to try that here, since it would be random chance if you got your space victory or a domination victory.

Great to see back, bcool! Where's the cat?!

I HATE modern starts.... they suck!!!

A settler costs more than a wonder??? What the hell is going on?

Anyway, submitted my first attempt, which from reading above will take 1st simply because bcool didn't realise it was score that was the important factor.

Built 12 tanks early, conquered my continent early, then went for sushi (missed the 1st attempt, but got the 2nd) and then spammed sushi & cities.

Now, how to beat Pollina for Challenge XIV?
