It will be nice when the hype dies down and all the folks with < 100 posts go away and stop complaining about the new release of Civ4 and we can actually start talking about playing the game again on the general forum.

I have noticed more ill-considered posts from new users bagging on those who are having problems than the inverse.

I think it better we all hope for the timely arrival of a patch that makes the game run well on most computers...

The Truth is that most of the regulars arn't in the forum because their too busy playing Civ4 and having a blast. And the ones that are having troubles running Civ4 are flooding these forums with complaints. I don't spend to much time in the forums now because of this reason, I wouldn't be in here now if I could play but the kids are on my desktop, and my laptop cant handle Civ4. Soon things will get back to normal (I hope.)

this is expected for a forum dedicated entirely to one franchise when the new game hits. in time, it will pass.

I started here back when Civ3 first came out but quickly left when the forums got filled with name-calling, complaining, crying, whining, flaming, and every other thing that I considered a waste of my time. I came back recently hoping that all that would have changed, but these forums still seem to be nothing but a flame fest. Kind of sad really. I'll just try and ignore the posts that are either flame filled or immature.
