I wondered if you could change the build times for everything, maybe lower the cost by 25-50%. I like the slower research speed on epic, but i think that building times are way too long.

Anyone who can help me??

Hi,
I just tried to play on marathon with few changes so that the building of buildings and unit goes faster. the game is more dynamic but I had a problem. I don't know yet if it is linked to my changes. I lacked of money. The technology discovery became always slower and slower untill I couldn't be slower because there was always less and less money to finance it. In the end I was at 0% science and still losing money... My units sarted a strike! Then Germans invaded...
Can someone tell me the cause of this?

heres a copy of my changes in the file (Civ4GameSpeedInfo) (somehow when I copied it here, the look of it changes a little. But just look at the values...)

Well the thing it would probably be is Inflation I don't know what those factors are in Vanila, but did you change either of them?

If the Offset was positive before, a bigger positive number would mean LESS inflation and a negative number would mean more.

If the Offset was negative before, a bigger negative number would mean LESS inflation and a positive number would mean more

The Inflation % is directly tinked to inflation (bigger=more inflation)

Otherwise you could have just played poorly and over expanded. (you do know about city maintenance right?)

Hi,
solved all my problems by using the normal speed and changing just its research time (now 300)and turn increament (like in marathon). I advise it to everyone. You really get the full feeling of every epochs. There's alot more diplomacy and wars without it becoming overwhelming. thinking about slowing a little more (400...?)
